Property Taxes
The City of Stromsburg provides many services using various forms of state and local tax dollars including three parks, a swimming pool, library, camp ground, cemetery, and the Viking Center.
The total tax levy for Stromsburg residents which includes levies for Polk County, Cross County School, etc. is $1.541044 per $100 of valuation which is a tax asking of $1,541.04 per $100,000 of valuation. Only about 24% of this tax levy or $365.31 goes to the City of Stromsburg to help support the many services provided by the City.
