Polk County Christian School serves the area by offering a biblically-based Christian education for students in Kinder¬garten through 8th grade. The small class size and family-like atmosphere provide a safe, welcoming environment where students can flourish! A dedicated group of volunteers team up with the teachers so that students receive personal atten¬tion throughout their day. Along with a challenging academic curriculum, PCCS also includes music, art, PE and other "specials" during the week, as well as fun held trips and community service opportunities.

PCCS opened its doors to Polk County and the surrounding area in August of 2002. The year before, several families with the dream of a Christian school in the county begin the prayerful work of establishing PCCS, and it opened under the direction of Administrator Sam Bell with 12 students in a one-room building on land donated by Dean and Louise Wheeler. Jo Peterson served as the head teacher. The following year, grades 7 & 8 were added along with an additional classroom/lunchroom. Thirteen years later, students from Osceola, Stromsburg, Benedict, Clarks, Shelby and other towns continue to be a pail of the Polk County Christian family.

Interested families may contact the school by calling 402-747-6561. The school is located just west of Osceola on 12986 N Road. Kay Kronberg serves as head teacher along with aides Trish Murphy, Judy Hanson and Tiffany Curry.
